Need a person? Email info@vinylindex.app. It helps enormously if you include your device model, your iOS version, and the artist and title of the record involved.
Common issues
A scan identified the wrong pressing
Open the match result and choose “See other candidates” to pick a different edition, or run a manual search by artist and title. Reissues often share artwork with the original, so the catalogue number on the sleeve or label is usually what separates them.
The app cannot read my sleeve
Fill the frame with the cover, avoid glare from overhead lights, and keep the sleeve flat. If the front is heavily stylised or has no text, photograph the back cover or the centre label instead — those usually carry the catalogue number.
I have run out of scans this month
Both tiers include a monthly scan allowance that resets at the start of each month. Your remaining scans are shown in the app. Upgrading raises the allowance immediately.
My collection is missing on a new device
Sign in with the same account you used originally. Your collection is tied to your account, not the device. If it is still missing, contact us before re-adding records so we can look for the original data.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancel from your device: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can do it yourself from inside the app, and it removes your collection along with the account.
Account and data
To delete your account and everything in it, follow the steps on the account deletion page. To request a copy of your data, or to exercise any other privacy right, email info@vinylindex.app. What we hold and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Reporting a bug
Send it to info@vinylindex.app with what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot of the screen where it went wrong is worth a long description. If the app crashed, say roughly when — crashes are reported automatically and the timestamp helps us find yours.
